Betting Exchange - Bet Types

There are many different types of bets available on the betting exchange websites, we have attempted to define these types. Click here for more exchange bet types.

In-Running Markets

At the start of selected events, all unmatched bets are cancelled and a new in-running market is opened. This allows you to bet right up until the final whistle of a match, the final game of a tournament or the winning post of a race.

These events are clearly indicated by a count-down, in-running icon.

There are two types of in running markets, managed & unmanaged.

Managed

Certain specific rules apply to managed in running markets, depending on the sport.  These relate to certain circumstances in which markets are suspended, all unmatched offers are cancelled and the market is restarted, and to certain delays applied to bets in order to protect against minor delays in broadcasts.

Unmanaged

Unmanaged in running markets are treated as normal markets. These markets will not be suspended and any unmatched bets will not be cancelled, due to circumstances on the event. A longer delay than managed in running markets, will be applied to unmanaged in running markets, to protect all customers.

Customers should familiarise themselves with these rules from the Information box in each particular event.
